Founded 1976 by HRH Prince of Wales, first in line to the United Kingdom throne. The Prince’s Trust raises funds to assist disadvantaged and vulnerable 11 to 30 years old. The Elan was donated by Lotus Cars Ltd to the Trust and the car was raffled by The Sun newspaper; the proceeds circa £70,000 were returned to The Prince’s Trust. The Trust is still active and a charity very close to the heart of Prince Charles.
