Britt Ekland was a major celebrity in the 1960s and 1970s. Born in Sweden in 1942, she forged a successful film career before perhaps becoming best known for her partners, notably British comedian and actor Peter Sellers and singer Rod Stewart.
She became quite the sex symbol for roles in now cult UK films ‘Get Carter’ (with Michael Caine) and ‘The Wicker Man’ (with Christopher Lee). And of course she appeared with Roger Moore in his second outing as 007, ‘The Man with the Golden Gun’.
She owned various Lotus during the 1960s, hence the choice to use Britt to launch and promote the 50,000th Lotus ever made.
